Our team of Michelin inspectors has spent the year conducting anonymous visits in order to find the best restaurants in these cities. Ail the restaurants in this guide have been awarded the - renowned Michelin stars (* to ***) for the exceptional quality of their cuisine. We have also highlighted those restaurants that are new to the guide (NEW), as well as those that have been promoted. Our inspectors have taken budgetary factors into account and so look out too for our symbol which points out restaurants in which one can eat for 5,000 yen or less. Michelin guide Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and Nara also includes a selection of hotels and ryokans in all price ranges. Extensive Iists and scan-and-read mobile barcodes for maps make choosing the right place easy.
